PPFA COMPILER
|

afpSOFT's PPFA Compiler is a program to create or modify
PPFA source texts in a convenient way to generate formdefs
and pagedefs needed in AFP printing to format raw print
data.
You can work on multiple texts simulteanously, navigate
in large files very comfortably or use print data samples
to aid in determining field attributes, repeat factors
etc. The visual appearance of the text can be controlled
by selecting amongst fonts, smart indentation or use of
syntax highlighting.

AFP SF VIEWER
|

AFP Structured Field Viewer provides a hierarchically
structured overview of an AFP file's contents together
with a hexadecimal view organized so that structured
fields are separated one from another for easy
comprehension.
It gives a detailed description of a
structured field selected in the contents pane based on
the values in that structured field. Numerous navigation
facilities let you examine the AFP file of interest in a
quick and comfortable manner. Furthermore the hex image
and the description can be saved as files or printed for
future reference.

AFP FONT CONVERTER
|

AFP Font Converter converts an AFP font into Adobe's
Type1 or/and Microsoft's TrueType Format. Then you can use
your AFP font in MS Windows application instead of using
font substitution tables. Additionally you can
display an AFP font character set, view
single AFP characters as well as install, deinstall,
view and print converted fonts.
|
|
AFP FORMS CONVERTER
|

AFP Forms Converter converts an AFP graphic component like
page segment and overlays into e.g. Jpeg's. Then you can use
your AFP component in MS Windows applications for true WISIWYG.

|
AFP RESOURCE DISPATCHER
|

AFP Resource Dispatcher determines which resources are
needed, whether they exist in your current print
environment and if they have the correct resolution.
If resources are not present they can be downloaded in
several ways from host to complete the analysis of the
print job. Eventually you can upload all resources
comprising a complete print job to the host and start the
print process knowing that all you need resides in the
printing environment.

PAGE DEF EXPLORER
|

The PageDef Explorer tool is a program to display
binary AFP pagedef resources and convert into PPFA text.
The PageDef Explorer lets you view, print and search an
AFP page definition in a convenient readable form. You can
tranform pagedef's into PPFA for futher processing.

MIGRATE
|

Currently MIGRATE can convert CAT's
(Character Arrangement Tables) into AFP code
pages and MXM's (Matrix Modules) into AFP font
character sets with 240 dpi.
Furthermore, there is a convenient way to
create coded fonts, i.e. pairs of code page
and font character set names. Coded fonts
resp. equivalent resources do not exist in the
Model2 world, but are needed in an AFP
environment to specify a font for
printing.
